OUR EXPERTISE

The art of French high-end tapware : from raw material to exceptional pieces

All Volevatch pieces are crafted exclusively to order in our workshops. Each order gives rise to a unique production, incorporating the chosen finish, the style of controls and any bespoke customizations, ensuring perfect integration with the project for which it is intended.

An independent manufacture

In a world where production is often fragmented and outsourced, Maison Volevatch preserves a rare distinction: that of an independent manufacture capable of mastering the entire creative process, from foundry to finishing, within its own workshops. Here, every piece of tapware is born from raw material. It is drawn, cast, sculpted, polished and assembled by the Maison’s artisans according to a craft tradition patiently passed down through generations. Volevatch does not assemble components. The Maison manufactures, shapes and guides each piece through to its final completion. This complete mastery of craft and technique ensures uncompromising quality and exceptional creative freedom, serving the most demanding architectural projects.

“Every piece passes through the hands of our artisans before reaching its final form.”

Igor Volevatch

A French Manufacture

The Tully workshops

The Volevatch workshops are located in Tully, in the heart of the Vimeu region, the historic cradle of precision tapware and hardware in France since the 19th century. Between Abbeville and Le Tréport, this region gave birth to a unique artisanal tradition, where highly demanding technical crafts have flourished for generations. By establishing its workshops in this historic industrial and artisanal territory, Maison Volevatch perpetuates a heritage of gestures and expertise that has shaped the reputation of the region. It is within this discreet landscape that pieces destined for some of the world’s finest architectural projects come to life.

45 exceptional artisans

At the heart of Maison Volevatch are its artisans. Foundry craftsmen, fitters, welders, polishers, engravers, sculptors and assemblers: each holds a specific expertise transmitted with rigor and pride. Within our 1,500 m² workshops, these 45 artisans shape each piece of tapware with the precision and sensitivity found in the finest metalworking traditions. A Volevatch piece is never the work of a single gesture. It is born from a succession of expert hands, patient stages of craftsmanship and attentive eyes.

Tradition and innovation

Within the manufacture, ancestral gestures coexist naturally with the most advanced technologies. Traditional workbenches, chisels, hammers and carving tools, stand alongside numerically controlled lathes and milling machines capable of achieving absolute precision. Technology never replaces the hand. It accompanies it.

Noble materials and finishes

Every Volevatch piece begins with a noble material: brass or bronze. These alloys offer density, durability and aesthetic quality, providing the ideal foundation for precision craftsmanship. Maison Volevatch also combines brass or bronze with rare materials such as marble, rock crystal, Limoges porcelain and selected fine stones. Each piece is then enhanced by one of the thirty finishes offered by the manufacture. Applied through electrolysis, these finishes consist of depositing a thin layer of precious metal — chrome, nickel, bronze, copper, silver, 24-carat gold or other alloys — onto a meticulously polished surface through an electrochemical process. This work gives Volevatch pieces their depth, brilliance and lasting durability.

Total creative freedom

Bespoke manufacturing

Every architectural project has its own constraints and proportions. Thanks to its integrated design office, Maison Volevatch adapts its collections so they integrate seamlessly into the architecture imagined by architects and interior designers. Centre distance, height, projection or connections: every dimension can be adjusted. The technique adapts to the project — never the other way around.

Custom creations

Some projects call for a truly unique piece. From a sketch, a technical drawing or an aesthetic intention, the artisans of the manufacture design and produce entirely bespoke tapware. From the initial concept to the final polishing, every stage is carried out in our workshops. With no minimum order, each project can become a singular creation.

Compliance and Certifications

Volevatch tapware is designed to meet the most stringent sanitary standards. All our pieces are certified ACS (Attestation de Conformité Sanitaire), ensuring compliance with French and European regulations governing materials in contact with drinking water.

Given the breadth of our collections and the large number of references produced by the manufacture, Maison Volevatch has chosen to undertake WRAS and NSF certification procedures for a selection of models from the Bistrot, Piet, Heritage, Carpe and Lyre collections.

These certifications allow these tapware pieces to be installed in international projects, particularly in the United Kingdom, the United States and other countries where these standards apply, while maintaining the quality and manufacturing standards of the Maison.
